The Mat LLC, a new business, will be bringing an existing laundromat location into the modern era . Kelly-Anne Lanham and Valery Roberts-Ropp, the duo behind the venture, received support from StartUp Hutch through E-Community and GrowKS loans totaling $145,000. These funds were made possible through collaboration with NetWork Kansas and matching funds from both Peoples Bank and Trust and Emprise Bank McPherson.
Located at 510 E 17th Ave., under the new leadership of Kelly-Anne and Valery, the laundromat will undergo extensive remodeling and upgrades, making The Mat the go-to destination for residents seeking laundry services.
Jackson Swearer, Entrepreneur Navigator and Director at StartUp Hutch, shared his excitement for the venture: “Our goal is to be a catalyst for positive change and growth within our community. The E-Community and GrowKS loans provide Kelly Anne and Valery with the financial backing they need to reimagine and revitalize The Mat, making it an even more valuable asset for Hutchinson residents."
The partnership between StartUp Hutch and NetWork Kansas underscores their commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and economic development in Reno County. By providing essential resources and funding opportunities like the E-Community Loan, they aim to drive innovation and prosperity across the region.
