When AJ Williams wanted to purchase Sutton-Kauffman Transmission, he knew he’d need the right tools and resources to get the job done (like any good mechanic). That’s when he turned to StartUp Hutch to help him navigate the process.
Jackson Swearer, StartUp Hutch Entrepreneur Navigator and Program Director worked with AJ’s lender and connected them with SCKEDD (South Central Kansas Economic Development District) for funding possibilities.
AJ was able to procure a $175,000 Economic Development Administration Loan for his small business purchase, turning his dreams of opening AJ's Auto Repair into a reality.
"I was lucky enough to find a business opportunity doing something that I love in the community that I love. Being able to give back to the community by keeping a local business open is just a bonus,” said AJ.
